Abstract: Public universities have in recent times come under increasing regulations from governments borne in part by governments' funding of universities. At one end, government regulations help to promote accountability and good governance in public universities. At the other end, regulations have sometimes come with a cost as they impose rigidities within which universities must operate. The resultant effect of such rigidities brought about by regulations is decreased flexibility and innovations in university operations. Generally speaking, such regulations affect various facets of universities including its governance, administration, disclosure, finances and academic freedom. Abstract: The paper reviewed some strategies in game theory with emphasis on the economic applications of these strategies to champion decision making using both theoretic and numeral illustrations. These feats were achieved after articulating the concept of game theory, assumptions of game theory, classification of game or competitive environment, history and background of game theory, and limitations of game theory. Types of strategies in game theory, and the application thereof in decision making was illustrated with appropriate concepts and numerical illustrations. Abstract: Kenya's manufacturing sector contributes 70% of the industrial sector production with the combined contribution of construction, building and quarrying outputs to the remaining 30%. Kenya Vision 2030 The country's economic plan recognizes the manufacturing sector as one of the fundamental pillar of sustainable annual GDP growth of 10% Manufacturing is among the pillars President Uhuru Kenyatta listed in his 'Big Four Agenda 2018-2022' that will aid in facilitating economic growth in the country. The policy makers plan to increase the contribution of the manufacturing sector to GDP from an approximate existing 8.5 percent to a projected 15 percent according to the goals of the Big 4 Agenda. Abstract: According to mean reverting theory, the security price always reverts to its long-term mean. In this paper, we try to apply the mean reverting theory on Donchian Channel indicator. The Donchian Channel indicator mainly depends on the high and low price of n-period. The Donchian has three channels called upper channel, lower channel and middle channel.The Middle channel is identical to the moving average, so the mean reversing theory can be appliedto the Donchian Channel. After that, we combine the Donchian Channel to the Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicator, to reduce the drawback of both indicators and try to construct a Hybrid strategy. Abstract: The objective of this study was to determine the effects of board characteristics on performance of commercial banks in Kenya. In particular, the present study examined the effects of board size, board composition, board ownership and Board Competence in performance of banks in Kenya. Bank performance was measured using Return on Assret(ROA). This study employed panel data design and correlation survey design. The study population will include all the 44O respondents i.e. 10 respondents from each of the 44 banks. The study sample was 132 respondents i.e. 30% of the targeted population. Secondary data from audited and published financial statements will be used. Questionnaires shall be administered as well as data shall be extracted from the annual reports and accounts of the banks over the period 2010 to 2017.
